Manthos Delis (Montpellier Business School, France) was the recipient of the 2017 FEBS National Award for his outstanding contributions to finance research. Manthos Delis is a Professor of Financial Economics and Banking at Montpellier Business School. He has a PhD in 2007 from AUEB, Greece, an MSc from York University, Canada, and a BA (honors) from Western University, Canada. He previously was at the University of Surrey (Professor, 2012-2017), Cass (SL, 2011-2012), and University of Ioannina (L, 2008-2011). His research interests cover financial stability, banking, corporate finance & governance, operations research, and economics of inequality. More than 40 of his papers are published in top-tier journals like Management Science, Review of Finance, Operations Research, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Banking and Finance, Public Choice, etc. His work has been cited more than 4,500 times. IDEAS ranks his research in the top 2% (last 10 years). He is a co-founder and member of the scientific committee of the Endless Summer Conference on Financial Intermediation and Corporate Finance (CEPR page), a small top event in the field. He is also a member of the program committee of the Swiss Winter Conference on Financial Intermediation, a well-established highly-quality annual conference. He is a member of the scientific committee of the Hellenic Finance and Accounting Association (HFAA).
