The 8^th National Conference of FEBS was held in Athens, Greece, during 18-19 December 2018. The Conference was organized by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

More than 70 papers were presented during the Conference. 

The program also included two round tables, the first devoted to the trends and challenges of the European banking system and the second on new corporate financing tools.

Prof. Manthos Delis, the recipient of the Annual National Award of the Society for his research contributions in banking, gave a plenary talk. A special award was granted to Emeritus Professor Emmanouil Xanthakis, by the Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in recognition of his longstanding contributions to the promotion of finance research and studies in Greece.
