Vasso Ioannidou (Bayes Business School, City University of London), was the recipient of the 2023 FEBS National Award for his outstanding contributions to finance research. Vasso Ioannidou is a Professor of Finance at Bayes Business School and a research fellow of the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Prior to joining City in 2021, she was a Professor of Finance at Lancaster University and at Tilburg University. The research of Prof. Ioannidou is in the intersection of banking, corporate finance, and monetary economics. Her work has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, and the Review of Finance and it is regularly presented in leading international conferences such as the AFA, EFA, FIRS, NBER, and WFA. Prof. Ioannidou maintains research links with several policy institutions and central banks. She currently serves as an associate editor of the Journal of Banking and Finance. She holds a PhD in Economics from Boston College.
